WHAT
THE RAPTURE MEANT TO THE APOSTLES MOST OF THE APOSTLES
EMPHASIZED A DIFFERENT THING AND A DIFFERENT VIEW OF THE COMING OF THE
LORD...... TO
PETER IT MEANT HOME Peter was writing to
Saints who were scattered by troubles and persecution. He told them of Home that
was undefiled and laid up for them. This Home would be a place of: A.
REST--Someone said there was a period of time
in the first church when the only time you saw a Christian was on a stake. B.
REUNION--Many have Family Reunions here but one day there will be the
greatest reunion ever known and it will be in the sky. TO
JOHN IT MEANT HEALTH - I
JOHN This
old body of flesh will be reborn and given
eternal youth. We will be delivered from Disease and Death. We will be in a
healthy: A.
COMPANY---Many worry here about catching a small
germ from others. In Heaven there will perfect Health and the only thing that
will be contagious is love. B.
CLIMATE--Many go to Arizona and the SUN, but in
Heaven the SON will always shine. Every day will be perfect. There will be
no need of a weather forecast. TO
PAUL IT MEANT HOPE - Phil. 3: 20 When Paul thought about
the Second Coming he thought about the glad day and the hope for: A.
CREATION--no more groaning and moaning Romans 8 and Isa. 35. B.
SANCTIFICATION---Not apprehended all yet but our Hope is to be Like
HIM!
