IN HELL

 Luke 16

THE MILLS OF GOD GRIND SLOW BUT SURE Gal. 6

THIS MAN IN HELL COULD SEE THREE WORLDS. HE COULD SEE HELL, PARADISE, AND THE PLACE OF HIS BROTHERS. IN HELL HE WAS INTERESTED IN SOUL WINNING. IN HELL IT WAS TOO LATE.

WHO THE RICH MAN WAS

A. He was a man that lost his identity. The place of Heaven has names not hell.

B. He was a man that lost his wealth. One night he had money, music, mansion and the next night he was a pauper.

C. He was a man that lost his spiritual inheritance. He knew about Moses and the prophets. But he lost all when he died.

D. He was a man that lost his soul.

WHY DID HE GO TO HELL

A. Not because of who he was or what he done but because of what he refused to do.

B. He refused to repent Vs 30 He refused to hear Moses Vs 31. You do not go to hell for being a sinner but for rejecting God's only remedy for sin.

WHAT HE DISCOVERED IN HELL

A. He discovered that death did not end it all. He discovered the Torments of the flames of hell. B. He discovered that no prayer is answered in hell. He prayed for four things MERCY--WATER-- MISSIONARY-WITNESS--

WHAT HELD HIM IN HELL

A. Sin held him in hell. His own wickedness and worldliness bound him in hell.

B. His nature--he was filthy in the sight of God. And his sinful nature could not enter paradise.

C. God's Holy Law kept him in hell. The jail is to keep those that break the law. Hell is God's prison house.

D. The Great Gulf kept him--he could not cross.

E. God's Justice--he must be punished.
