THE ABIDING SAINT

  I John 2:24

 Vs 14--Word of God abideth in you

Vs 24--Let it abide in you which you have heard from the beginning.

Vs 27--Anointing you have received abideth

Vs 28--And now little children abide in Him.

THE PLAN FOR ABIDING (Vs 24)

Let that abide in you which you have heard from

the beginning...Have Heard:

1. ABOUT LIBERATION 1:9
2. ABOUT LIVING 2:6
3. ABOUT LOVE 2:9

THE PROMISE FOR ABIDING (Vs 25)

1. PROMOTION 3:2
2. PERCEPTION 2:27
3. PERSECUTION 3:13
4. PURITY 2:29
5. PRAYER 3:22

THE PURPOSE FOR ABIDING (Vs 28)

"Abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may not be ashamed before him at his coming" Two kinds of Christians are going to stand Before Him.

            A. AWARDED FOR SERVICE…Those that followed Spirit not                 Sin and self.

B. ASHAMED OF SERVICE...The people were Ashamed when Moses came down from the mountain and caught them dancing around the calf. Many are going to be ashamed when Jesus comes from Glory and catches them in the act of sin.

IF WE ABIDE IN HIM, HE WILL ABIDE IN US!
