Visit Avalon Nursing Home with Bro. Jerry and Mrs. Sheryl Lomax on Tuesday mornings at 10:30.  Though this is not a direct ministry of Westside Baptist Church we are proud to have members that have a burden to reach out to these elderly people. They, along with some of our members and friends meet at the Avalon  Nursing Home to challenge and encourage the residents of this local nursing home facility.  The residents here are unable to attend a regular church service anywhere, so they take the service to them.  The residents greatly appreciate the enthusiastic singing, occasional specials, and the Bible preaching that is especially geared to meet the special needs of their souls.

At Christmas time presents were given to all of the residents.

"Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me."  (Mathew 25:40)
